Abstract This one-hour presentation – suitable for a broad technical audience including engineering students, academia, and industry professionals – introduces CZT products and technologies (high-resolution Cadmium-Zinc-Telluride semiconductor radiation Sensors, theory of operation, optimizations), reviews manufacturing processes (crystal growth, photolithography, metallization, fabrication and testing), and identifies OEM integration issues (economics, ASICs and electronics, and systems). The following market applications will also be reviewed: - Medical: high-resolution full-body and organ-specific imaging for cardiology and mammography, nuclear medicine diagnostics and irradiation. - Homeland Security and Defense: detection of dirty bombs, explosive materials (HME), and explosive devices (IED). Biography Adam W. Grosser has over 30 years of national and global sales, marketing, business development and executive management experience applied to advanced technical systems and solutions in various industries. He is responsible for developing and implementing aggressive growth strategies through worldwide sales channel partnerships including OEMs, system integrators, application solution developers and system resellers. Prior to joining Redlen Technologies, Adam held international management positions while living in the United States and working for DDS-Digital Wireless, Covidien/Tyco Healthcare, and LEC Global. He also worked in international business development, global marketing and senior product management while with Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) in USA/Germany/Canada, and sales management and national business development while with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Canada. He has conducted business in over 115 countries. Mr. Grosser earned his B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada. While with Digital Equipment Corporation, he completed comprehensive training programs in Project, Product, and Program Management. He earned post-graduate certificates in General Management from University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario, Canada), as well as in Marketing from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) and UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management (Los Angeles, California, USA).
